About the Institute
The establishment of the Michael D. Penner Institute was made possible through the distinctive and the generous contribution from Michael D. Penner. Mr. Penner’s ongoing interest in improving environmental, social and governance issues was uniquely in line with the priorities of our research community. In addition to providing the foundational funding, he has also been able to obtain the support of the business community, a support which is essential to the efforts of building a more resilient and inclusive world.
Our organization brings together scholars from diverse fields, professionals, and members of civil society to examine the ways in which the incorporation of environmental issues, social, and governance factors can contribute to an economically sustainable and inclusive society.
We are interdisciplinary research teams from Université de Montréal, Polytechnique Montréal and other University Institutions, fostering an immersive community
